2012 SRT8 Winter Wheels/Tires

Newbie here. I tried search first but for the life of me could not find any threads that discuss proper winter wheel/tire size for a 2012 SRT8. I'm looking to pick up a 2012 SRT8 within the next few weeks but it will end up being my year round car so I'll need a set of winter skins and wheels to go with them. I'm not familiar with the wheel offsets and clearance needed for the breaks so figured I'd just ask...what are you guys with your 2012 SRT8's running for whinter wheels/tires(those of you that drive in the winter of course). I've used Blizzack's on my BMW for the past 3 years and they have been great, would consider those again.

I'm with you on this. I will become the owner of a 2012 SRT8 300.

I think the smallest we can go is 18"

Can anyone tell us the exact wheel and tire combo in 18 that allow for fitting over the calipers and to not rub the wheel well?

I have found some 245-40 R 18 and I think that size would be ok, provided I found wheels that fit.

Guys, I have a set of 18" MB wheels with Pirelli Scorpions that Discount Tire sold me. I have used them for FIVE winters now! Going to bolt them on again in a few weeks. Don't know if MB still sells a wheel that fits, but that would be a good start to look.

Need to bump this one again. I"m looking at a car tomorrow but I will be hesitant to purchase if I can't find an approprate set of winter wheels/tire to put on for a few winter months. Is there no one out there with a 2012 that put some winter skins on last year? You Canadian boys must

Just sharing what I have found for those that find it helpful. While no one seems to know at this point what 18 or 19" wheels would clear the Brembos on the 2012's, at least I find 2 different winter tires available in the OEM size of 245/45R20 's

Blizzack LM-60's ~ $305 each(current tirerack listing)
Pirelli Scorpoin Ice&Snow ~ $290

I'm thinking maybe I'll just go this route on the OEM Wheels and get some different bling wheels for the Summer. The import thing is, at least there is a tire option.

Many of us in Canada drive our SRT8's year round.

A set of winter wheels and ice and snow tires is an absolute must, though.

Tire Rack has some inexpensive wheels that do the job nicely. My favourite winter tires are Pirelli Ice and Snows.

With 2 sets of tires, each set will last you twice as long!

Here is a great wheel (I use them for racing in the summer) for $99.00.

ASA GT5 Chrome Plated

. . . and I use the OEM wheels in the summer.

There is a sub-forum here on Winter Driving: http://www.300cforums.com/forums/winter-driving/

I am really trying to not have to buy 20's but tire rack isn't listing ANY wheels for the 2012's yet.

I have a quad cab silverado for bad winter driving but ther are times the roads are fairly clear so I wouldn't mind driving the car. I don't want to buy 20" snows as they are like 1000x's more expensive than 18".
