rotors

Among many wonderful presents I received were a set of 4 perfectly re manufactured slotted rotors from my BIL who runs a machine shop.

Who says slotteds cannot be turned? I hear it a lot here and elsewhere.

He runs a 3rd generation shop in Florida. An absolute FANATIC, his main biz is high end engine builds for hot rods. Just put together a GIANT Chevy Stroker that was 20 grand just for the crate motor, then 15 grand for machine work! It should be 850 HP on pump gas.

I wish you guys could see his shop, it's immaculate, he even has a hospital clean room for assembly!

Fisch, I don't pay as he's my BIL and I take him to track events and get him seat time in very fast cars, but he said it was worth about 100 bucks for all 4. 3 cuts of the smallest possible amount and almost ten minutes each just setting them up on the lathe for utter perfection. Hand cross-sanded on the lathe then oiled and wrapped in plastic for long term storage!

I've had it done before too. Heck I've have drilled ones machined too. It's about the time. Slow speed is key.
