Question F1's on a canadian 300c srt

hello I am new and this is my first post. Spent the day looking at a cSRT8 . Man a killer car will be trading in the SRT-4 for this car but my dealer has 3, 2 silver and 1 black but all have the F1's on them and I would rather the RSA's due to the winter coming. If the dealer cant find me any, would there be anybody around London(I am from brantford but buying the car in London) that would want to trade the F1's for there RSA's?? and if your rims are in good shape just due a straight trade??

Anyhow the 300c SRT that I was looking at is silver and has NAV and DVD and they did such a great job on the complete package that even my wife is wanting me to get it.

Thanks Donald

Careful with the straight trade. Even a couple of months will significantly depreciate the tires when they're on a SRT8

I really don't think the RSA's will do well in the snow. For one thing 245 is too wide, for another All-season = no season. If they were like 205 then I would say with 4300lbs of car that all-seasons could work well in the snow, but 245 I think is too wide to make do with all seasons in any substantial amount of snow.

Had a Neon R/T with these tires too, and in my opinion the RSA is not your best choice. Get some tire experts input because I personally am no fan of Goodyears at all.

Problem seems to be availability. 20's are not widely available for snow use!

F1's are the OPTIONAL tire for Canadian SRT8's. Old thread? Yup again. For those of you in the snow belt who have F1's, what's your tire/wheel plans for this coming winter. It ain't all that far off ya know!!!

If you're driving a SRT in the snow and salt... get your head examined.

What you really need is a "beater" for the s**ty weather. I have a '96 Plymouth Voyager with snows all around for this. Good in snow, worth less than your tires and completely expendable.

I bought a set of 19 inch rims (ASAs with pirellli Scorpion Ice and Snow)

Drove across Canada in winter from Newfoundland to Ontario (3000km) with no problems. I then drove all winter on them.

I have the f1s on my stock rims.

Hope this helps, I would recommend a little weight in the trunk (I am going to add about 80-100pds this winter), snow tires are the only option imo for Canadian winters.

Mine are 255 wide and worked great in all snow conditions.

Cheers
Chris

Believe it or not, narrower tires are more suitable in snow.
