Nice setup, I think I should order these, One question though the wheels will clear a stock SRT8 Brake setup?'
Yes, they will clear the factory Brembo brakes on the SRT8. You'll also want to have Tire Rack install TPMS sensors in your wheels, otherwise you'll have tire pressure warning messages popping up on your dash.
Give Luke Pavlick, at Tire Rack, a call at 888-541-1777 (x362). He'll take good care of you.
I finally got this same setup (Borbets/Blizzaks) and put them on today even though this year's snow is probably history by now for NoVA. I wanted to try them out in case there was a problem -- didn't want to be trying to fix it come November or December '07.
Put them on, fit fine, look good. When I drive around at low/mod speeds (say, 25-40 - haven't gone faster yet), I hear a kind of whooshing 'shoop shoop shoop shoop' sound. Seems to be mostly coming from the rear.
Any ideas? Brakes seem to have plenty of clearance all the way around, nuts are tight, covers in place, nothing visible caught to make the sound. Think maybe the labels still on the tire tracks might be the reason? Or possibly something more worrisome?

You didn't peel the stickers off the tread before mounting the wheels on your car? That's most probably the sound you're hearing then. A few burnouts should take care of those stickers! (And half the tread.)
I'm happy to say I'm a new SRT8 owner as of a few weeks ago.
I'm interested in buying 18 " winter rims as well but want to know if anyone else has used a different brand of rim that has worked ok for them.
I live in Toronto Canada and I've gone to a few tire shops in my area who all show me the same rim that looks pretty crappy. They've told me its the only rim that fits...BS for sure.
just looked at tire rack and nothing came up... maybe they're all sold out ????
I'm looking for something that looks different from the stock wheels but still looks great?
If anyone can provide any suggestions and pictures as well that would be awesome.
okay, i speed-read all 5 pages, and the only question i have is...
WHY ARE YOU BUYING SNOW TIRES IN MARCH?!?
do you live the mountains of argentina or something?
Well, I can't speak for anyone else, but I actually ordered mine in early Feb after experiencing the Supercars on snow/ice for the first time.
Got them a little while ago and then finally a floor jack (by delivery) this week. So I didn't feel too strange when I *bought* them. And now that I've finally got the set up, I didn't want to wait until next November to find any problems that I (or TireRack) could have dealt with now.
However, putting snows on on March 1st while the last snows melted around me -- well, that did feel pretty crazy. Especially knowing that I'll be taking them back off again in a matter of weeks!
Not planning on buying them now, just doing research. I have heard that we need to be careful about what wheels will fit properly given the size of the brake calipers.
I simply want to figure out what my options are so I can keep my eyes open for a potential sale/deal on rims between now and October.
If I can get rims that look hot and save a few bucks... why not. Hell if I can find a deal on rims and tires .... bonus.
