tire sealant

ok im totally lost here. one dealer told me that the car comes with a can of tire sealant that you inject into the tire before you fill it up with air.. another dealer told me that the tire sealant is inside the automatic tire pump, so when you fill up the tire with air it automatically sprays the tire sealant inside.
what do i do ??????

SRT8 get an air pump that has fix-a-flat attached to it.

There is an air pump that plugs into the lighter that has a can of fix-a-flat in-line. You can disconnect the line from the fix-a-flat and just pump air if you want.
I can't find the picture, but here is a post of what not to do:

I'll see if I can find a pic, if not I'll snap one and post it.
I am working on a space saver spare tire/wheel, but we are using an odd bolt pattern, so no luck yet.

You beat me to my own punchline!!! Yes - I believe my original thread should tell everyone all they need to know on this topic. Unfortunately, several months ago I deleted all of the old pictures I had posted. I'm sure there are other pictures out there though.

Check out the pics:
Tirefit is the unit in the left side of the trunk wheel well.
Tirefit1 is the hose on the botom of the unit you need to disconnect and use if you only want air.
Tirefit2 is the hose you use if you want the goo and the goo can is on the left.
Hope this helps.
I highly recommend a $5 plug kit from the auto parts store (as seen in the first photo,) it may just save you from using the goo and it can repair a much larger hole in the tire than the goo can (use multiple plugs at the same time, not intended for normal use, ******JUST AN EMERGENCY REPAIR******.)

dont forget to get AAA as an insurance for flats......the DCX roadside assiatance does not cover for flats. My tire had a hole too big and I ended up paying $65.00 for the flatbed to get the tire fixed!

OK now the last thing that i need to know is.... if i use this tire sealant . will i have to buy a new tire after??? Can they just fix the hole or is this tire sealant a one time thing?
I know that with other tire sealants, after using them the whole tire nees to be changed because the tire sealant hardenss inside.

The bolt pattern isnt so odd, but the size and offset for that bolt pattern are. GM has used the 5-115 for years on FWD cars, including the current Impala. Good luck find them in a size that will clear the Brembos though, even as just a space saver spare.

All the space saver wheels that I have found that will clear big brakes are for BMWs and such (wrong bolt pattern.) So, yes it is the offset that is the problem in our bolt pattern.
I know I could have a wheel custom made, but I do not even want to go there.

Be careful with the tire sealant - once you crack the seal on the goo - all of it must be used in the tire. I accidently plugged in the pump and turned it on to check if it works and it was connected to the goo bottle from the factory. Long story short - it broke the seal and it wouldn't stop spooging and just got over everything. It's some sort of sticky liquid laytex that smells like bad rotten fish. But once it dries it peels up like slightly sticky silly putty.
