Believe me with the new fix they are not SUPER dust pads any more.

I have both the slotted rotors and new FACTORY pads installed. I still have AMAZING stopping power and with more than 500 KMS on the pads and rotors there isnt even half the amount of dust on my wheels.

Excellent work DCX ..........Excellent fix to the problem

Anyway I have my ctek pads here right now, but i also have front & rear slotted rotors on order at my local dealership, which they said should arrive in the next week or so. I have the 2006 srt8 built April 06 in austria and am not sure of the pad setup on my car, if i have the newer 'non-squeel' setup or not. Sorry but i'm far from an expert on these things unfortunately.

My questions are, should i wait till the slotted rotors come in before i fit my ctek pads? Should I get them both fitted at the same time by the dealer? And should i be getting a new set of the brembo pads with these new rotors, or are only the rotors covered by this tsb?
thanks in advance.
Have the ctek pad but on when you do the slotted rotors. I did it today and they had no problem using my pads, but they would have put on the TSB Pads if I let them. The only thing they said is the warranty on the brakes is over with my ctek pads. Which is up in November, 12/12 on brakes. Good bye Dusty rims

My dealer was GREAT - and it was my first visit ever. Ordered the slotted rotors without ever seeing my car. Also got new Brembo pads in with the TSB. Instead, they put on the C-Teks (thanks Dave!!) for me and gave me the new Brembo pads as spares.

Two questions for Dave (or anybody else that wants to chime in): The Brembo pads are "directional" with an arrow showing which way they are to face. The C-Teks appear not to be. Is that an issue or just some strange Brembo thing? Second question: There was no mention in the "install" posts (fronts and backs) of the front shims on the Brembos. While they swapped the rear shims off the old Brembo pads to the C-Teks (and asked to keep Dave's great tutorial), they left the front shims on the Brembos as there was no indication that the C-Teks needed them. Hope that is right!

I bedded them in on the way home (Kansas has lots of empty roads) and only freaked out one farmer on the way. Now I need to get the car and wheels washed to see how everything does. I will post a couple pictures later...

My dealer was also great. Never even inspected my car. I was over the 12 months too. I had been patient with them ordering other parts for my warranty work that needed to get done and before you know it we were in August and the brake tsb came out. Patience paid off for me, but either way it was painless. So for all of those who have dealers giving them a hassle just bring them or fax them the official TSB. It should help for sure. Don't take no for an answer, DCX issued this TSB for a reason and all of us who have been complaining about the rotors are the ones to thank. DCX came thru and for me it goes a long way in customer service.

I just had my rotors replaced and had them install cteks.
I bedded the brakes and I do have to say that the fade was bad after stopping so many times. I looked at the rotors after the bedding session and the rotor wasnt fully 'broken in.' I didnt see pad material all over the rotor so I thought I would give it another day of stop and go driving to fully break in and after today the rotor was fully covered and now stopping power is as good as the original pads.
Very satisfied.

well i have an appointment to take my car in next week to get a brake problem fixed, along with the rotors being replaced.

any suggestions to get the rotors really scory looking and squeeky before hand? my scoring has lessened quite a bit and i have never gotten any noises from them. they dust like mad though! i have 9300 miles on the car.

Though named "Pro" they're probably still not a recommended track pad, eh, jaak?
