I JUST put them on and bedded them (I did about 9 or so 60-10mph runs) immediately.

We'll see as the miles pile up if it's still acceptable to the wife or not. I got an earful this AM on her way to work however.

*fingers crossed.

They'll get much better. Give it a couple weeks, then re-bed.

Teahead, You're gonna love them, trust me. I put them on mine right after I got it (about 7 months ago), and I've NEVER been sorry. VERY little dust now where I used to wipe wheels at least twice a day. Now only once, or twice a week, and even then just very light dust to wipe off.

Sounds encouraging, but bottom line is that my WIFE has to love them.

Or else...

That's a problem I've seen before with OEM silver Brembo calipers. When really heated up, such as by track use, they color shift and turn gold. I have a customer whose wife owns a Volvo V70R. He took it to the track and the silver Brembo calipers turned gold and the gray "R" logos turned orange! Needless to say, his wife was not happy.

Fun at the track with wife's Volvo V70R

The consequences of having fun at the track with wife's Volvo!

Your post stating that new brake pads will be released in June of 2006. Has this happened? If so, are the new pads making a difference and has their been any response from the manufacturer to the problem of brake dust. The shop manager at my dealer is not very receptive to the problem. He says he is not aware of any complaints and says " Lots of cars have brake dust problems" . His customer service skills leave much to be desired.
