Just adding a me too:

My car has 21000 miles. It is 17 months old. I was the first person in the world to bring up the rotor scoring problem, posted pictures, reported to my dealer, spoke with DCX, etc., etc., etc.

So - when the TSB came out I called my dealer. He attempted to give me the run-around. I said "call DCX and let me know....."

Today they finally called back. My rotors will be in next week.

Finally, the brake issue's cycle is complete!

I'm sure DCX hates me for the day I first posted rotor pictures and said "WTF?"

Anyway, if MY car can get the new rotors, then anyone who put their dealer on formal notice prior to 12 months & 12,000 miles ought to get new rotors.

Hey JMatt! I'm glad to hear our official scoring discoverer is getting what he deserves....Albeit 17 months later. At least you got 21,000 miles worth of free rotor and break pads!!! You can't beat that when you think about it.

It's just good nobody will run into the problems that scoring and premature wear will have on our brake systems.

[EDIT]

I forget to mention. MY ROTORS ARE HERE!!! MY ROTORS ARE HERE!!!

I don't take it in until Friday because I'm driving to work all week and can't be without the pleasure that is SRT-GR8!

OH SWEET!!!!

Gotta love the look of those slots. I can't wait to get mine on Friday.

However, what's with those streaks across the surface.....Those aren't scores are they?

It's not scoring it's the pads getting settled in I guess, the dealer told me my pads were fine and did not change them.

JMatt I’m so glad they’re doing this for you. You deserve them for sure. You were the original rotor scored dude and posted pictures for us all to see. I would say you’ve more than demonstrated a willingness to bring this problem to light so I’m pleased to see DCX step up and do the right thing for you. Post a pic when you get them! Congrats!

Thanks for the support Danno! I think I'll post a new pic of my wheels next weeek, side-by-side with a dated original picture of my scored rotors from almost 16 months ago. Stay tuned!

Side track: Yes again!

God how times flies...it seems like yesterday I remember that post and it was almost a year and a half ago.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.
