You are correct. Well, actually, I don't think it's the pads. The rotors came with a rough surface from the factory and it gets smoothed out by the pads.
Here's mine about 30 miles after installation:


And this is after a hundred miles or so. The pic is not of the same wheel, but all of mine looked like the shot above or worse.

Thats good to know, my car only had 4 miles at the time of the photo.

Got mine installed this morning along with the C-Tek pads. Now I just have to bed the brakes tonight.

Dave recently posted that you want to remove the layer of oil that comes from the factory with either brake clean spray or soapy water before you do this.

Just thought I'd pass that along.

hey guys....just wanted to get some info from some people on when they started to notice grooving in their rotors....also, when did you start to hear squeaking from the breaks....speaking in terms of miles...thanks..
