Does the new slotted rotors also help with the brake dust?

Actually, I have noticed that the dust is not black like the dust from the original rotors and there does seem to be less, maybe that's just because the dust isn't black. I have had mine on for about a week and mine aren't much different than when I brought the car in for the TSB. I am going to have the car washed tomorrow and then I can get a real good handle on the dust issue.

The Ctek pads so far seemed to have cured my brake dust issues.

Dealer just called to say that my car is done. I'll be picking it up tonight, throughly detailing and then watching the wheels stay clean with the C Tek pads. Funny thing is, someone stopped me to ask about the car as I was getting into it at Home Depot last night. He said the black wheels looked sharp on a silver car

Now that is a hoot, Tom.

And just when you'd solved the problem, no less.

Now that is just too funny!

I wonder if anyone has done a black, glossy powdercoat finish on the stock wheels? It would certainly make the silver calipers and slotted rotors stand out more sharply.

FreebirdSRT's wheels are black centers with a chrome lip. The first time I saw his car after he road tripped to Spring Fling I thought the whole wheels were black.

I also saw someone at Spring fling who had chromed SRT wheels but it was that dark chrome/black chrome. That's not a bad idea either to blend the brake dust into the finish somewhat.

I just had my rotors replaced today. I'll be detailing the beast tomorrow and doing some bedding.

Hope the dust is abated a bit with these rotors. During the last SRT Chat, one of the SRT guys said the new rotors will help with the dust because the grooves (prime) the pads. That most of the dust you see is from the rotor and not the pad itself!? Dam!

I'm just happy that DCX/SRT stepped up and did the right thing. Now I won't be so worried about having to replace my rotors sooner than expected.

They do work, I had my rotors on for more than 500Kms and the dust is much less noticeble for the KMS that I put on the car.

Stopping power is excellent to, after you bed them and put a few miles on them.
