One thing is that hopefully those out of warranty now made a complaint berfore going out of warranty, and made sure it was logged in the cars record. That way you have documentation that your car was affected while still covered, even though a fix hadnt been released at that time.
So my car has less than 12k miles but it's now a little over 14 months old. I did take my car in last summer so hopefully my previous complaint is documented and they'll grandfather me in.
I spoke with the parts department and they seemed boggled because they've never seen those parts. I said "they just came out." and the service writer even seemed to be upset that I knew more about this than he did. (You know...the typical I'm-a-Big-mighty-service-writer-and-I'm-supposed-to-know-more-than-any-owner Syndrome.)
Parts can't order the rotors until I take it in for inspection so I go Monday night to A.) hopefully get the TSB addressed and rotors ordered, or B.) fight with them over it.
In my previous experience with dealerships TSB's mean squat towards warranties and they are ALL at the discretion of the dealership unless it's an actual "recall."
we will see.

If one rotor shows premature wear but the others are fine, I'm guessing they would still replace all of them, correct? Also, this TSB doesn't address the issue of squealing or break dust. Is it ONLY for the scoring problem?
Yes, the TSB specifically states:
"NOTE: If premature grooving or scoring is present on any rotor, slotted rotors must be installed in the front and rear."
I wish this would have been announced earlier yesterday when I went to get an oil change.

As for me even though I got the C-Tek pads (2 sets, 2 SRT's). I am still going to go with the TSB replacement rotors as well. Rambit the C-Teks may have cleaned up some of the scoring. If you still show signs of scoring go get the replacements anyways.
A few of us heeded ResumeSpeeds earlier threads about DCX will have replacement rotors for the SRT's. We put our orders in for them awhile back.
For us, todays announcement by Resume Speed today prompted us to call in about our rotors. Wouldn't you know it. They lost our number and have been trying to reach us for 2 days.
ResumeSpeeds Announcement today that they are availalbe now. Ours have been sitting locally for 2 days now ready for us to go and pick them up.
So if any of you are upset that FreebirdSRT once again has gotten in at the bottom floor (free 22" wheels) (first of 6 for C-Tek pads) (Will have replacment rotors in hand today...that's right I said today).
BITE ME........... Can ya feel it...huh!! ......
My partner in Crime should be posting pictures of them later today. He went to pick them up.
I want nothing but the best for FreebirdSRT. She will get the new replacement rotors and a brand new set of the C-Tek pads (it will still be a bit longer for the pads) so I will wait to install the rotors until I have pads in hand. What is hitting my pocket book so hard now is that I have double of these types of upgrades to do now. (double SRT's)
