I had one of my parts guys check into the availability of the Rotors....There are 2 sets of front slotted rotors in San Francisco and all of the Rear Rotors are in Detroit....about 4 days away....I had one of my Service Advisors open up an RO and got mine already ordered...

Yep..I was told all rotors are in Detroit. He said I could get them earliest by next Wednesday.

So the warrenty for the brakes are 12MO/12K ? What about the 3yr/36K warrenty ? I'm less than 12 months but over the 12K. Am I stuck trying to get a dealership to let me slide in on these ?

I Guess one of the guys on ChargerForums thinks it's April 1st:

"WELL NOW LET ME BE THE MONKEY HERE....

My dealership does not reconize this # as a service bulliten and they are now researching it...does anyone have the REAL SB# because this is not it...

According to my dealership and I have called 2 others in vegas...not reconized.

Sorry just trying to figure it all out......this almost comes under the notion of

Over 12000 miles/ 12 months - No problem!

This is exactly my case. I am currently at 13168 miles/10 months, but I did take in my car to have the rotor scoring officially documented slightly under 12000 miles. I just got off the phone with my service advisor, and after confirming in my car records the documented rotor issue within the warranty period and talking to his service manager, not only did he say that the TSB would be honored, but he was able to order four new rotors without me having to bring the car in.

Oh, by the way, my service advisor was quite surprised that I even knew about the TSB (because he didn't). He wanted to know if I had received a call about this. I said nope, it was courtesy of the great people (ResumeSpeed, et. al.) on the internet at 300cforums.com.

Now I am just hoping to get my new C-Tek pads in time to have the entire job done at once. Dave if you are reading this, am I in line to receive the new pads with the next batch to arrive?

That gives me hope! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll be calling my favorite dealership after I write this.

I took my car for the first oil change a while back and the service manager looked at my rotors and said they would change them out under warranty. When I picked up my car, he said I shouldn't have any probs. Well, I'm at 15K but only at 8 months. It looks like my chances are better than I thought!

I brought my Maggie to Orange Coast Dodge today. I asked the service manager to look at the deep grooving on my front rotors. Then I told him about the TSB - that just came out. After hemming and hawing a bit about the issue (he didn't know about it and said they have received no prior complaints) - he went to the computer and confirmed that.....

I CAN GET THE REPLACEMENT SLOTTED ROTORS!

There is currently no inventory for the rear rotors. So I figure I will get on the list for the C-Tek pads and swap everything out when I go in for my next oil change at 9,000mi.

This forum rocks!!!! I never would have know about this otherwise. Now I'm off to PM Dave about the new pads!!!!

Haven’t you fallen off the fence yet? You’ve been sitting there for awhile …..now get a move on and get the fence post out of the backside and sit the backside in a brand new SRT8 comfy seat!

Thanks RS for the usual line of great information. I still can see grooving on mine….maybe not as bad as at first…but still some there. My dealer had already promised me the new slotted rotors. Still have to deal with the dust…oh Dave!

So is it possible to have the slotted rotors warrantied and brought home to DIY instead of having the dealership swap them?
