I don't get why any dealer will not do a TSB if there is a good reason to do it . Its free money to them. Revenue they would not otherwise ever see.

Most of my wife's cars have come from the same Lincoln Mercury dealer over the past 15 years. The owner is a former Ford exec and really knows how to play warranty and recall. For instance, we brought a van in for an oil change and wound up with a new motor, with a loaner car because it was going to take an extra day. He loves the warranty and recall work. I just don't get the business justification for not doing every TSB and recall possible. Am I missing something here in the dealer business model?

Congrats VVV on your dealership stepping up and doing what’s right.

I should think for all those members who have spoken to their service people about this issue some time back it should count for something. It would be in their best interest to keep you happy. You’ve demonstrated by purchasing their flagship vehicle that you have the resources for possible future sales. Those that don’t help get nothing; those that do you’ll likely do more business with them in the future.

Some of the reason they hesitate is because some dealers dont get a preauthorization from DCX to do the work. A Preauth is basically the dealer asking to make sure the work will be covered before they do it.
If they dont get a preauth and do the work and if DCX kicks it back not covering it, the dealer eats it. Of course the dealer doesnt want to eat it.

I got good news from my new best friend. The service writer called me and said my rotors are on order and they will not charge me for the brake inspection she had quoted. It's all free. They expect the rotors to arrive in a couple of weeks. I was a little worried because of my milage, but they said it wasn't a problem since I had the rotors already replaced once at 4k.

No such thing as a pre auth. I simply went to my service writer. He pulled up my name in the system, noted the rotor issue from 7 months ago and stated the new rotors would be orderd as part of the TSB. Four days later, the call from the dealer was received indicating the parts were in stock and they were replaced the same day.

These so called 5 Star dealers ignoring a TSB should be reported now.

Who do I report to ? Please read my thread, (Help dealer won't do warranty work) It's not that they are ignoring a TSB, they won't work on it because I didn't buy it from them.

WHAT?!

That's completely against company policy!!! Your car can be serviced at any Chrysler dealership! Especially if it's a 5 star dealership.

LOL I work for a dealership. I know the ins and out. A preauth is a preapproval for work from the mfg

Ask to speak to the service mgr and tell him the service your receiving.
If he gets pissy have an oil change done or something cheap and then when you get your survey in the mail nail them. This will cost them 100 times the amount of the rotors
