My initial impression of the new Jurid/Brembo pads is that they give off MUCH LESS dust than the originals. Still probably much more than the posi-quiets, but this may now be a tolerable level. We'll see after some more driving.

Picked the ride up earlier today. Took my 3 sons with me as they are in town for Thanksgiving and had not seen the SRT8 yet. I took them on a 100mph run from 60, they said this car is different from the C, I said yes it is. After my short demonstration of power, I gave them a class on bedding brakes. I took the car off on a lightly traveled road and got 8 good 60-10 braking and 2 80-10 stops for good measure. My sons asked what is that smell, I said thats the smell of brakes getting a good work out. I now have perfect bluish/grey rings on the fresh slotted rotors. I will do a second bedding just for GP the next time I ride. The best thing about it, NO BRAKE DUST!!! Awesome.
Thanks DZ for the Posi's.

This is Pat, great mechanic and guy too. I think he's the head service guy there:
Blingtastic!!! Brakes are on!
Up next: Bedding these this weekend. I plan to get some posi-quiet or C-Teks from Dave Z. someday - hopefully sooner than later - but otherwise these will do for now

Did you notice the "DCX Technician" allowing the left rear Caliper to DANGLE by the hydraulic brake hose!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It only takes a little effort to do the job right!

"Hey "Lady", gimme a break (brake?) it was only hangin' there for a couple of minutes!" Pat the Technician
Sharp eyes SRT8Lady, none of the rest of us gearheads noticed this in the last four months. EricG - notice any drops of brake fluid underneath your calipers?

Read your Technical manual as to replace rotors -
it states " upon removing caliper, secure caliper as to NOT let the cailper hang by hose assembly".
Got a Metal Coat Hanger around to make a "hook" to hold up the caliper?
Try Home Depot in the Garden Department. I use Hanging Plant "double "S" "
Hooks and they are power coated in my Garden. These will make great "tools" to perform this job PROPERLY. Costs about $6.00 per pair.
I haven't noticed any brake fluid around the inside of the rims or around the lines, I haven't looked with a magnifying glass at all the components though...I doubt there are any problems. Will check back when I get a chance, good gander SRT8Lady!

Some calipers are very light and have the brake line threaded straight into the caliper body. So if it is allowed to hang, there's no problem. For example - the rear calipers on the 1997-2003 BMW 540i. But this is not one of those calipers that permits you to get away with it. It's relatively heavy, with the caliper and bracket integrated into a single unit. And the line goes into the back at an angle. So if you let it hang, it puts lots of stress on the banjo fitting, where it's crimped to the end of the brake line. You can see how the caliper is cocked to one side while hanging in the photo below. Not good!
