The dealer just keeps adding days to the arrival. You would think that in this day and age they would have a better way of tracking incoming vehicles.

I want to strangle my salesman. Keeps changing the damn date of arrival!!
Another damn week.

It will be worth the wait. I promise! I can't wait until summer time. I am a Realtor by profession here in Colorado. I just showed homes tonight in 24 degree weather (F) and snow packed icey roads. The SRT did great! Didn't get stuck, and I have the F1's. The ESP really came through. I have gotten stuck on other occasions though as I mentioned earlier in this thread. I will say a little chant to the Horse Power gods that your car gets there soon!!!

Talking Can't stop smilin'!!

I got it! I got it! I finally friggin' got it!
I just picked up my 07' SILVER 300C srt8 yesterday, and all I can say is "DAMN" this is one FINE automobile!!! Droppped it off early this morning to get the windows tinted, (15% back, 35% front), State Troopies out here are jack offs, so I could'nt go too dark. I can not wait to get it back and just drive it more. No red calipers, and I actually like the silver ones,(Brembo in black letters) also slotted rotors on already. I will post pics when I get it back. Thanks everyone for your earlier input.

Out, J.D.

Big congratulations JD as the moment finally arrived!! All of that waiting and frustration will all be a distant memory. You’re going to have the perma-smile on your face for a long long time! Enjoy that bad boy and put some pictures up if you get a chance. I know many of us love to see them freshly delivered or any other time….we just love looking at them!

Funny...I'm in Colorado Springs. I haven't had any issues...as long as I've driven reasonably. I've never seen ABS engage so much in my life, and at speeds under 5MPH, too! ESP comes on a lot, as well. Cornering from a dead stop is a challenge, you can't seem to get above 5-8MPH until you finish the turn and straighten out. But this is one of the safest snow-cars I've ever been in. I can't begin to imagine how awesome it would be with some blizzaks. But I've been fine with my worn out all-seasons. The best part is when the road looks clear and you hit an unexpected patch of ice. The car corrects itself before you even realize that you started to skid!

I'm really into this darn beast, SRT8 (what were they sayin' about the fuel economy? but my question to the fellow snowbirds is this: when driving in the winter, in addition to this car's low ground clearance, should I also be concerned about the fact that this is a rear-wheel drive car? Or, ESP, traction and winter tires would do it?

I have had my srt-8 for just over two weeks now and we have had three snowfalls so far. I am in sales, so I am right out in the middle of it and I gotta tell ya, for being a high performance "rear wheel drive" vehicle, this thing in the snow, is no problem at all! I am very impressed at the way it handles. Yes, I do have the all-season tires and yes, a set of snow tires would help if you are in an area thats gets ALOT of snow, but right now I am getting around just fine on the all-seasons. I ordered it that way so I might as well use them. Now if your srt-8 happens to come with the F1 tires, yes I would order up a set of snow tires and wheels. As far as mpg, right now I am doing about 16 mpg. This will surely go down when the roads are clear and its warm again.
