Would a V rated Nitto tire work on the SRT8

Found a good deal on a set of 245/45/20 Nitto Tires only issue is they are V rated which is only 149mph what would happen if I were to exceed that limit of the tires only on short bursts.

probably nothing...tires don't turn into pumpkins at their speed rating. The manufacturer simply limits his liability above the rated speed. I'd take those tires in a heartbeat. I've only rarely been above 140, and never for more than 2-3 seconds at that. 149 is plenty!

Nothing unless you plan on holding speeds over the rated speed for more than an hour.

I’m sure there is nothing to worry about, but it seems to me why take the chance. If you think you’re going to be driving that fast or faster the last thing you want to do is worry about the rubber underneath you. I guess to me it isn’t worth the worry. I would just bite the bullet and get the higher rated tires…..ONLY if you really think you’re going to be exceeding the limit on the V rated tires. jmho
