Braking performance difference between old & slotted with C-Teks?

When I installed the C-Teks back in July, I did notice a small decrease in braking performance. Nothing major.

Now I would swear that with the new slotted rotors that I'm just about back on par with when I had the stock pads / original rotors with regard to performance.

Anyone running C-Teks and slotted rotors notice any difference?

I think I have slightly less braking with slotted and CTEK than I did with original set-up. Smallprice to pay for geting rid of the dust...

when i first installed the ctek with slotted rotors i felt
more play in the break peddal...it takes more pressure
to stop at the same speed it took me to stop with stock
pads and rotors...but just like ali said...its well worth getting
rid of the dust and squeal!!..

Dan, I'm on par with you. With the non slotted rotors it seemed mushy. I still didn't mind since the dust was gone. But with the slotted rotors I feel sharp again with braking power. I also noticed my rotors are perfect. I never beaded them in and I just keep an eye on them. I've got a ton of brake pad left and the rotors are perfect. I'm a happy camper.

What made me post was a nice 60 - 0 hard brake I did tonight. Really did notice a difference. And like you, I haven't bedded the new rotors so I would think it should get better once that's done.

Dust? I would have opted for a hole in the floor and Fred Flintstone brakes just to get rid of the stock pads. Damn near made me seriously consider selling the car.
