80 mph shake - FIXED!

Had my Chrysler dealership do an alignment and problem solved.

The steering wheel still shakes a small amount at 80, but no more than most cars do at 80MPH and I am sure a great deal has to do with the front tires being worn so poorly on the outside edges because the from the factory alignment problem.

I had the same problem with another car I owned a few years back. I took it everywhere and could not get the tires to stop shaking at high speeds. Brand new set of Michelin tires. I got a flat one day and stopped at a Michelin tire dealer to repair it. I explained my disappointment in the tires to the owner. He claimed that most shops don't do real high speed balancing. He said he would take care of it and sure enough he did. No more shake. I assume he was telling me the truth since it worked.

I had that problem after they rotated my tires. After they rebalanced my tires it was OK.

Congratulations SSpray!! It really is nice to be shake free. I’m positive once you get a new set of tires there will be ZERO shake period. This is exactly what happened to my ride and now I’m smooth sailing all the way up past 80 mph!
