Update

Just got back from picking up my 2006 300C SRT8 from the dealer where they had replaced my scored rotors with new slotted rotors. It took them about an hour to do the work and they were pleasant and professional, actually using a torque wrench to tighten the lugs when they finished. I'm happy and the new rotors even look better!

Well congratulations bigsnake for getting your new rotors installed without any hassle! They actually installed things properly it sounds. Can you tell any difference yet? Did they replace your pads? I think the slotted rotors make the car look even more bad azzed!

Danno, havent been out on the interstate yet, but locally the brakes are fine. No pad change, only 1,000 miles and not much wear on them. I have a couple of questions. 1. For a stock 2006 300C SRT8 would a stage1 or stage2 Jet chip be better and 2. Which of the catback exhaust systems are better. I have been leaning toward the "Magnaflow", but will entertain thoughts from those that have been there, done that!

Here are a few threads that my give you some help. The jet chips seem to be a toss up if they really do all that much for performance. In the first post are some other links to some alternatives to the jet chip….like the B & G flash.

As for Magnaflows it seems that exhaust notes are highly subjective and vary from member to member. We have many members that adore their magnaflows, but then we have some that have taken them off as being too noisy. Then we’ve had some take them off as they weren’t loud enough. The best thing you can do is attend a meet & greet and go listen to what some of them sound like for yourself.
Hope this helps.

Wow! Thanks for the plethora of information. Now I'm totally dazed and confused. Will take your advise about listening and talking with those who have the mods I'm looking for. New here but I'm learning a trunk full of good information. Now, if I can get my wife to stop saying"slow down" and start saying "punch it" I will be ok!

Bigsnake there really is a ton of information on these forums. So if you check the stuff out and read up on what you want and ask the right questions you should have some hella great mods that you’re satisfied with.

Now the wife problem about going faster…..sorry you’re on your own for that one.

greatone61, thanks for the reminder. Did the proper amount of stops and now have a nice blue tint on the rotors! Should be G2G!
