Funny tire popping encounter

So I'm at a dealer getting an oil change and this lady walks up and says is that your SRT? I say yup and she starts berating me about her tires popping when she's backing out of a parking spot. Apparently she's been camping out at the dealership like every other day for weeks!

After I explain that it's common with the F-1's in the cold and mine does it too and to just get over it it's no big deal she continues to rant about how she didn't spend 50k for a car and that it's driving her nuts and it happens ALL the time.

So I looked at her and said..."All the time"? She says "Yes" so I said "Well ma'am you do know the car is meant to be driven forward not backwards"!

Everyone around in the service department lost it in laughter!!!

She definitely hit obsession status on this issue and has gone over the edge!

LMAO

Oh it was hilarious after she was berating me like I was gonna do something about it or join her little war with the dealership for 5 minutes, I actually jumped on a pc and showed her the posts on this forum hoping to cool her down.

That's when she started getting irrational talking about 50k car and all the time yadda yadda yadda...

At that point my oil change was done so I put on my sunglasses and dropped the casual verbal bomb on her! It was classic!

Oh it was extreme she wanted the dealer to put new tires on (all season not F-1's of course) and replace the sway bars etc...

Personally she reminded me of Kathy Bates from that movie Misery totally obsessed with this tire problem and I definitely didn't want to get locked up somewhere and experience a "hobbing" session on my legs with a sledge hammer LMAO

Headers and a good cat-back will take care of the popping . It's the route I took......told the wife I just couldn't stand it anymore .. .

I hear ya! I was gonna tell her there's a TSB out that says before traversing backwards out of a parking spot in the cold turn up the kicker system to 36 OR 37 and fire up And Justice For All by Metallica!

Works for me! LOL

You should have told her in order to fix the tire problem that she will need to do a special “smoke” treatment on the tires. Then proceed to tell her how to do a big smoky burnout….. repeat until that terrible popping sound goes away.

I have no idea what tire popping you guys are talking about. Are you talking about when you park on a hill without the e-brake and when you goto put it in gear the car pops or whatever.
