It wasn't me! He's in California and I'm in New Jersey. For the labor rate he was quoted, I could by a discount ticket on Continental and fly there to do it for him! As others have already posted the link to my instructions, you can see that it shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to do all four corners. That shop would be getting $500/hour for the job! And that's if the mechanic moved slowly. No, that labor rate is simply ridiculous.
Dave,
What would you charge for all four brakes? I was thinking of doing mine but will consider if the price is right! I just bought your posi-quiet pads!
Thanks everybody for your input. I got my brakes done by GSM and I went with the new Satisfied Brake Pads . I am very pleased with the pads and GSM is a first class operation, thanks Scott and Ryan for a great job. Total cost for the pads were $225.00 for all 4's and install was a fair $100.00.
LOL, I can tell you it was not DZeckhausen, I am going to call the vendor tomorrow and talk to the owner about the price I was quoted. What would be a fair price to do this job? I would do it myself but I am not sure I could do it right. Thanks for all of your help. Oh the price was only for the replacement of the brake pads, no turning of rotors or any thing else was discussed.
I charge a six pack and that includes cleaning all the brake dust from the old pads. It takes longer to take the wheels off then it does to change the pads.

How are those spacers working? Any noticable difference in off the line and mid range torque?

Ditto that SC300! We met at GSM's shop while they were doing my CSRT8. Had them install the "phenolic spacers" at the same time, and I must admit, the Satisfied Ceramic Brake pads, as well as the "spacers", are worth while mods.
Thanks Ryan & Scott.
p.s. They had Ron's (1bad4dr) black-beast on the dyno while waiting. That's one sick SRT. Ron was heading down to Phoenix for a little fun with Halv48's monster. Should be a blast. Good Luck to all SRT brothers/sisters.

UTR,
He doesn't install brake pads. However, he does install big brake kits...we sure don't need them.
If you don't want to do it go to midas and have them put it on for around $75.
