Not sure where you got the info on the "XL or Truck Tire" idea. Here some info. Toyo Tires - Sports Car

Whatta' ya know, and here I thought all other 20" options were load rated for trucks. Apparently that's a friggin' myth.

That's great info. I also love the look of the 4's the best of any tire. Better than the INVO's.

However, here's the stats, it's 5th from the bottom:

Toyo Tires - Proxes 4T

They weigh in at 33lbs. Nitto's site doesn't give the tire weight from what I can see.

Thanks Moose.

That is the 4T...and we (DR, me, FireMedic etc.) have the S4's...which are sports car tires vs. the 4t's you mention that are luxury sedan.

Also, post #46 JMatt has the weight of all the tires in question

EDIT Make that post # 48

Looks like you didn't read the WHOLE thread, Marne.

Not saying the Proxes are better, just that the Nittos are not out yet...at least the size that we all want.

Make sure you pressure your Proxes at about 33 PSI running pressure. Oh, and what size did you order?

Thanks Marne.

See the pics for size...what's wrong with less than 33PSI? I run 35 anyway....I wasn't implying that the proxes were better, just that after reading the thread, I feel better about not having waited. Just the reviews that have the proxes blowing RSAs out of the water is good enough for me...I think I even read that they beat F1s?

Well - I just did the same.

Bought Toyo Proxes 4 in size 245 45R20 for the front and 275 40R20 for the rear.

What are people paying? I probably overpaid, but they're $763 out the door, installed, sales tax paid.

Maybe I'll sell someone some slightly used tires if a VERY sticky tire fitting our cars ever shows up.
