Here's some new info:

The Toyo Proxes 4 is a generation older than the Nitto INVO.

The Nitto INVO was designed with a more giving sidewall than the Proxes 4, which yields better launch traction.

The INVO is designed with a shoulders designed to provide a wider contact patch.

The INVO provides the highest forward acceleration traction available in our size in the Toyo family.

The INVO can be rotated side-to-side to improve longevity and offset any excess wear.

The INVO uses a silica-based tread compound that provides increased traction.

This info was provided with approval.

I reiterate - when the snow is gone, my Pirelli snow/ice tires come off and the INVO's go on. (I have no affiliation with any tire company anywhere - and you all know it).

For anyone looking: I just found out the 275/40R20 is not available......yet. By the time the snow melts though, they should be available. (Think, 30 days or less)

Good find JMatt, especially since I was about to order the Proxes.

That is by far the funkiest tread pattern I've ever seen. It looks like the took 4 different types of tires and sandwiched them together.

I'm not waiting for any melting snow in Monterey so it looks like I'm screwed. I guess I better start carpooling with my wife to make the tires last long enough. Thanks for all the info.

Glad to know I'm not the only one who carpools to extend tread life.

Wait...I just noticed this part of your post.

So the iNVO's are NOT available in 275/40R20 yet.

I really need to pull the trigger on some tires soon. Mine are getting dangerous they're so bald.

I just called the nearest Nitto dealer and they quoted me $219 for the 255/45ZR20. So that should at least give you a ballpark figure. Sounds pretty reasonable if the tires have excellent handling.

30 days is what you're being told?

I can wait that much longer I'm sure....If it were 6 months then forget it.

Seems like a good price on the 245's.
