SRT8 Spare Tire

Does anyone have any updates on who's supplying a spare for the SRT8's.

I've recently traded my 300C for a 300CSRT8. I do many Tri-State tours due to family and friends. I understand these cars do have Run-Flats; however, when I put my 22's on in the spring, I guess I'll be F*CKED if a flat occurs.

I'm sure there's no easy way to tow these cars either. I'd like to refrain from carrying a stock 20" in my trunk all the time.....or purchase 22" Run-Flats for that matter!!!!

Any help would be appreciated

These cars do not have run-flats - you are already fuked if a flat occurs Oh - and there is no spare tire supplier, you best best is to carry an extra and lose the trunk space.

Been there - done that. There are no alternatives because nothing any smaller clears our brakes anyway. Trying to use a smaller outside diameter tire would wreak havoc with the ABS and rear differential.

As RobertV’s link points to much discussion on this problem. For many (including myself) purchased an extra wheel and keep it in the trunk. As Erik stated we don’t have run flat tires. We have some goop that you can shoot into your tire if you develop a leak….but kiss your tire goodbye if you spray that goop into it as no one will repair it. So it boils down to either keeping a regular sized spare in the trunk or getting one of the smaller donuts and playing tire roulette if you happen to have a flat on the front.

Ok, well........That sucks!!!!!!
I appreciate everyone's input, however.
I wish there was a much easier way about this. You'd think with all of the SRT8 vehicles out there, someone would be working on this; especially one of our supporting vendors.....

For that matter, I guess I'll travel around with one of the stock 20's when I mount my 22's......

now that's a great idea. keep one of your stock 20's, and sell the other three to SRT owners. i'm sure there are members here who would buy it from you for the convienence of knowing it fits perfectly, front or rear.

Dave! You got an 8 I see!

I'd like to think the brake check and spirited run to the liquor store near Mike's house had you convinced it needed to be done!

Congrats!

BTW: Just make sure you get the road side assitance from your dealer or your insurance. Us upper-crusty SRT8 owners don't change spares on the side of the road.

Does this fit in the space under the trunk?
