don't know about a "change" in the chrysler pads. did you have your rotors changed too per the issued TSB?

The spreader isn't really necessary. You'll be able to move the pistons by hand.

Best of luck.

Congratulations on purchasing a new SRT8! This is one amazing ride with some awesome stopping power to match it’s incredible horsepower. Many have offered up the best advice about contacting DaveZ. Don’t forget if your SRT8 begins to have rotor scoring (and it will) there is a TSB for getting the new slotted rotors. Stealth has provided you a link for that TSB. Good luck and don’t hesitate to ask any questions.

Hot damn just put my order in for the Centric Posi-quiets. Cant wait to get them. In the mean time I will be taking it in to the dealer for the rotor TSB and the tranny TSB. My rotors look ok so I dont have much hope. I DO have the tranny problem. Read about it here and tried it Friday and it did it. Thanks everyone.

Dan is 100% CORRECT, matter of fact he proved it to me by putting my pads on yesterday.

Dan also used his super strength to move the pistons in with ease. More time was spent jacking the car up and taking the wheels on and off then actually swapping out the pads. I have to say I am impressed with the performance of the centric posi quiet 104 pads. I couldn't be happier. Special thanks again to Dan SS2471.

Was that yesterday already? Oh wait..maybe it's because I haven't been to bed yet. DST2007...the new Y2K.

You're very welcome, John. Least I could do for the guy who put me in touch with the dealership I ultimately bought my car from.

Talk to you soon.

Dan

p.s. sorry for the thread hijack.

I have 157 miles and the brake dust was getting bad and I started to see the rotors score so when I was getting a few things done at the dealer, they said they replaced all 4 rotors and 4 brake pads yesterday. I wonder if they are using different pads now?
