Question These brakes/shifting TSBs' I keep reading...

Question about these TSB's I keep reading about. Was this because of vibration of warp in the rotors? I notice there's some talk about new "slotted" rotors as a fix from the dealer. My car does not have said rotors. Now, is this something I need to have them do before I have bigger issues later? If so, is the swap no cost?

Also, the shifting issue. Is this only when using Autostick mode? Truthfully, I have not had too much WOT to watch when the car shifts in regular drive mode. It seems the complaint is shifting too early from 1-2 at WOT. Correct? Point me in the right direction so I don't get blindsided later.

I'm up to 76 miles on the clock! Lovin' every minute of it! Thanks again, all.

I had vibration in the rotors at 200km. I drove across Canada to TO and the vibration was so bad I thought the car was going to fall apart LOL!

Print off the TSBs and bring them with you. Mine was obvious, some cases are more subtle.

The trans TSB is for a delayed downshift when you stomp on the gas plus rough shifting. After the trans TSB is applied it also automatically shifts at 6000-6200rpm instead of smacking the rev limiter if you floor it in autostick.

I much prefer the new shifting strategy and the rotors were a night and day difference. The car is perfect to me now and I am loving it.

Brake Rotor TSB - You'll see some grooving or scoring on the rotors. They will take out your scored rotors and replace with slotted (sweeeeeet) rotors. TSBs are always no charge.

Click here for a copy of the Brake TSB to take to the dealer

1-2 Delay Shift TSB - You'll notice this only in AutoStick. I would notice it when I would be rolling at about 10-15 mph, switch to AutoStick, and then try to shift from 1--->2.

I had both of these done to my SRT and I love the improvements. Hope this helps.

Yes, I already do see those. So I guess that's on the list of things to-do. Thanks for the info. I'll be seeing new rotors soon!
