Slotted rotors back ordered?

I took my car in today to let them take a look at the rotors and make an appointment. The girl at the counter sets up an appointment for in the morning and then said let me go check at the parts counter to make sure we have them in stock, low and behold when she comes back she informs me that the slotted rotors are back-ordered and she will call me when they come in. Has anyone else had this happen?

They replaced mine today and I should get the car back tomorrow. Is it typical that they just replace the front rotors? That is all they replaced on mine.

Nope, the TSB calls for all 4 to be replaced along with new brake pads.

Well it's good to know that they were not pulling my chain. I was hoping to get them done this week because I ordered some new Centric pads from Z Racing and wanted to do everything at around the same time. Oh well, as long as it gets done and stops the annoying brake dust I will be OK.

Wait, they replace the brake pads too? HELL YEAH! I got the hook-up and I'm having mine replaced even though I have almost 25k miles on my car. How long should these pads/rotors last anyways?

I had the rotors replaced in November and they were back-ordered for a week then.

On another (hijacked?) note, I just installed the Posi-quiet pads last week-end and with only 2000 miles on the car since November, my front wheels felt like they were welded onto the rotors and it took 5 minutes of beating the crap out of them before they broke free due to major rusting. I'm going to remove the wheels this week-end and clean up the rotors and paint them to see if that helps.

Guess the weekly cleaning due to brake dust caused the rust, of course that'll change now with the dustfree pads and we're not getting too much rain here in Texas so maybe the problem is somewhat solved anyway.
