How long did your stock brake pads last?

Just curious. I REALLY want to ditch the stock brake pads for some of the posi-quiets because even though I read about people complaining about the brake dust.... you don't even comprehend until you see it for yourself. I only have about 1K miles but the brake dust these things generate is insane. I want to know how soon I can get rid of them becuase one half of me hates the brake dust but the practical half can't see just tossing a brand new set of pads and replacing them lol.

Thanks

Speck

I bought the Centric Posi-Quiets and put them on this week at less than 1000 miles on the odo. I've kept the OEM pads just as emergency spares, but probably will never, ever use them again.

Who needs brakes when you have such a fine tranny for slowing down and raising the RPMs while listening to that fine exhaust note! I've got 24,000 miles or 38,500 kms on my beast and I have just ordered the Posi-Quiets from Dave Z. They are on the truck to my place as we speak. They have already cleared customs so I expect them to arrive either today or tomorrow. My plan is to put on new rotors and pads when I pull the corners to swap to summer tires probably on the Easter weekend. I have some miles left on the original brakes, but I am really tired of the brake dust build-up, so that will end shortly.
