24's would only hurt acceleration, not top end.

If anything, 24's will IMPROVE top end because they will lower the effective gearing of the car. Of course, you'd have the speed limiter to deal with.

Now me...I'm moving to 18" on my SRT for better performance and the availability of stickier tires for the track
