Maybe because they are 9" wide, but the SRT8 rims are on the heavy side for forged rims. I have forged rims and they are 24lbs, but mine are 8.5" wide. Not sure how much 1/2" adds in weight.
When I was shopping for 20" rims, most of the one piece rims weighed around 35lbs.

Yea, i don't know much about rim weight, thanks for the info! I'm going to be having these rims widened to about 10.5 so i'll weigh after the 1.5 inches is added and report the difference!!

So it sounds like you can get 22" 3 piece wheels that weigh less than stock and get the great look without compromising performance. I'm sold on 22"s on that note.

My 22x9 is around 24 or 25 lbs. I think it's very good for a 22. Not sure what 22x10.5 is though.

That is a little heavy for a forged wheel, but I'm sure that they are overengineered for safety reasons. Pimpin' down the boulevard is one thing, but I've seen very expensive forged wheels that have failed on track.

Thought I would update here for others info.

I weighed my stock SRT wheel with RSA tire and it weighed 51 LBS.

I weighed my stock SRT wheel (CHROME) and tire (TOYO PROXES S4's) and it weighed 57 LBS.

That is a six pound (24 LBS all around) difference. I am running a wider Proxe than the RSA though.
