Is this your product by chance? The reason I ask is because of the Charger in the ad.

If we could learn the specs of that adapter, that kit could be assembled for much less than $500 plus shipping. I'm just saying.

i emailed the guy about this setup, he said the tire is a 148/80 18. according to a tire calculator it measures 27.3 inches o.d, im running 22's 265/295 setup, and the 265 (the taller of the two) measures 29.3 o.d. thats 2 inches less tire height. plus i have on coilovers, so im pretty low already. my fear with this is ripping off my front chin will running this setup. plus it probably looks silly all leaning to one side. the price is a bit steep also. just my 2cents.

Moving tires back to front is just not an option I'd care to go through either using an 18" 300C wheel.

When I went to California there were only two F1 tires in all of Ontario. The last thing I wanted was to be stuck in the middle of nowhere without a tire, so I bought a 245. The thing took up half my trunk, but at least I could store cleaning supplies in it. I figured I'd be able to get it mounted if necessary no matter where I was.

Long distance trips I do throw one of my 18" rim full size snows in the trunk for good measure.

As soon as I get the calendar contest over with I'm planning on getting serious with this. It may turn out not as planned, but I'll definately give it a go for sure.

thanks rambit, ive been kicking around a few ideas in my head, trying to figure out a solution myself. i think the spacesaver spare (collapsible) is going to be the best bet. my buddy has a vw toureag with this very setup, so i took a few measurements and i beleive it would easily fit in the well. he has a collaspible spare size 195/75 19, when deflated it measures roughly 23" o.d. and roughly 29.5 when inflated. the well will allow a tire of about 27" so the 23 will fit easy. the width of his spare is about 7.5 " the well looks like i will allow for 8-9 " with no problem. the only thing is the bolt pattern, are's being 5x115 his being 5x130, but i beleive i can have a adapter made to convert this and allow for the extra clearence required for the front brembo. i also saw a mercedes r350 spare (collapsible) that is a 195/70 18 which would be about a half inch shorter in o.d. when inflated, but would require an adapter to mount also. naturally finding a collasible spare with the same lug pattern would be great but, i havent seen one yet. these are just a few ideas ive been kicking around, but it might work, or i could be way off. i need to do more research. anyone with an idea feel free to chime in.

That's my plan. I've been in touch with the Dutch company who made those tires for some VW's, Porsche's and MB's. It's very similar to the system used by Chrysler for the Cordoba in the mid 70's. I'm going with an 18" wheel though. I've been playing around with the tire sizes available and some are VERY close. I plan on buying a wheel & tire in the near future. None of the bolt patterns on any of the cars mentioned above are suitable.

There are only a few tire sizes available for this and this company supplies the OEM's to those companies. I'm planning on going with the Borbett wheel cuz we all know it fits over the Brembo's and the 5x115 is readily available.
