agreed, but like i stated a wheel adapter would be required. yeah finding a wheel with the proper lug pattern and backspacing would be great. and just mounting a spacesaver spare to it would be the way to go for sure, if that could happen. but maybe some custom work might be required to make something else adapt. my 2cents
this borbet ts wheel you mention what width is it , would it fit down in the well with no clearence issues?? 18 x what??
Lots of members here are running those 18" wheels for a winter tire setup. I haven't had the time to research it yet though, but they are available from the Tire Rack. I have to ask them, but I have a feeling it'll be 8.5" I go with.

Hi - my son bought a 2006 SRT8 from a dealer in Calif.
The car doesn't have a spare and when we called the dealer someone said they didn't think the car came from the factory with a spare.
Is this true?
Thanks.
Jeff
That is true. They come with a compression and bottle of goo to put into the tire. Supposed to seal up to 1/4 in puncture... not sure I believe it.
The new SRT Design and Charger Daytonas come with 20" rims stock and have a larger rim, donut spare. It is my belief that these spares could be used on the back of an SRT8 and work just fine on a temporary basis. Not likely they will clear the front calipers, but they could be used on the back with movement of the rear rim to the front if that would be necessary.
Agree with Bernie, not the kind of effort you'd really like to do in a down pour or snow storm, but doable nonetheless. I know the rims for these donut spares can be had for $95 (checked it out at the dealer just last Friday), but no idea what the rubber would cost... probably not cheap. But they will go into the spare well without modification. That's definitely worth something.

This is what I did...got the spare setup from a regular 300c. It will fit only the back wheel, but in my mind that's better than calling for a tow. Keep in mind if you do this that you need the jack assembly as well. Cost me just under $400 for everything, including the bolt and brackets to attach everything in the trunk well. If I wasn't lazy and went to the salvage yard instead of the dealer, I probably would have got the whole deal for well less than half of that.
What size spare did you purchase? Why I'm asking is that a junk yard guy stated the they come in a 17 or 18 inch size rim.
Also when I went to verify this at a Chryslert dealer the parts guy at stated that by putting the spare tire in the rear it could possibly destroy the rear end differential unit due to the different sizes being run on the both backs or is the spare the same diameter as the srt8 stock tire?
Rim is an 18", tire size 145/80D18. Diameter is 27.1".
Our stock wheel is 28.6", a bit larger. However, since this setup is from a 300C, I also calculated the diameter of the tire on that car, and it is...28.6".
So if toasting the rear differential is an issue, wouldn't it be true for the 300C as well? Obviously, you don't want to drive on the spare very fast or any longer than absolutely necessary.

Actually an F1 255/45/20 is 29.1".
