I just spoke to the tire shop. They suggested the Proxies 4 in 245/45 and 275/40-20. Supposedly they're better then the NT420S.

Good info for people who, like me, require all season tires. For summers the Invo seems to be the best available.

Long life or grip. Pick one.

All things considered, F1s are the best tires I've ever owned. People poo-poo them because theu assume that OEM means that it can be improved on. In this case, I doubt it.

I've punished F1s beyond belief tracking my 5,000 lb truck, and they keep sticking until they're bald. 295/40-18s on 9.5" wheels:

Anyone know how the Toyos are in the Snow? I have found the RS-As to be pretty damn respectable combined with the Mercedes traction Control.

They're supposed to be decent, but not great. Thats pretty much how all all-season radials are. For great you need snow tires.

ON a positive note, the Proxies 4s are a fraction of the RS-As price. STS Tire gave me a price of $210 each for the fronts (245/45-20), $185 ea for the rears (275/40-20), installed. $790 for a set of big 20's is a damned good price. Two RS-As will cost you that.

Make sure and shop... I paid just a hair over 600 dollars on the car and out the door!

I'm running F1's in the 255 all the way around and even with taking it to the track and running fairly hard, I've had no rubbing issues. I like the grip of the F1's. The cars are pretty 'under tired' for their weight as it is, IMO.

F1's - 255 all around

I don't know about you, but I want the best I can have on the road with this beast. You can poo-bah me all you want - but it only cost me about $150 more than the toyos. A penny a mile? My is worth that.

Be ready for wear on the inside of the fronts, but you can rotate the 255's.

Put your current tires on the agressive wear program. You will be remiss if you don't drive in with slicks.
