Please recommend replacement tires for SRT8!

I have a 2006 SRT8 and will be replacing my tires soon. I live in Sacramento California and don't drive the car too often. If alone, I'm always hard on it, but also take the family in it for trips!

I want to go with the same size tire, so I was thinking of replacing all four with the stock rear Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar tires (255 45 AR 20). Any suggestions?

If I go with the stock front tires (245 45ZR 20) the car might sit too low and rub even more. The last thing I need to worry about is rubbing even more!

What do you think I should go with (brand, size, etc.)

Thanks!

^^Good suggestion above^^ Many members here are incredibly disappointed with the F-1s. The one positive you tend to hear is that they are better for the track rather than street which is what you are looking for. Here is a recent discussion thread for you:

I have the Nitto 420s tires and absolutely love them.

Good luck!

I have the Nitto Invo's in stock staggered sizes and they are great. The NT 420's are pretty much an SUV tire.

I'm up for a set of treads as well. After 2 sets of F1's this time around think I'll try the Proxies. Anyone know if u can go a little wider in the rear without any problems? If so how much? I'm not looking for something way bigger just a lil more grip and better looks. Thanks in advance

No rubbing, just want a practical way of rotating without making the car lower and rubbing. Some of the tires are getting worn, so I need to go with the stock tires or commit to something entirely different.

Go for Nitto Invo's 255/45/20. The proxes are more of an all season tire, that is why the 4 is in the name for 4 season. These tires ride and handle great.l
