Where to buy tires?

I don't want to scare anyone with another tire thread, however I am looking for the best place to get some "Toyo 4's" online. Some people have mentioned going to a mom and pop shop, but here in Colorado I can't find a small store that can get them, and if they can they're asking for $235/tire and this does not sound right.

If you know of a local place in CO, that would be ideal. If you know of a place online in which I can find them for less than $173/tire, I would appreciate that help as well.

I'm not going to be using them to fly through the snow...just getting ready for Spring!

Thanks for any suggestions.

eastcoasttires.com

tiredeals4less.com

VVV90 got 4 255 45R20 Proxes 4 from east coast for $495!!! Had to buy four at once and go through ebay, but that's the lowest I've ever seen. I paid $148 per tire plus $15 shipping per tire from tiredeals4less which I thought was pretty good. Good luck.

That's what I needed, thanks Eric.! I've read the forum for awhile, so I know how thorough you are, I can take it at that.

I just purchased a set of tires off of tiredeals4less. 14K on the first set of tires (standard F1's) however I did receive quite a bit of outside wear on the front tires. Once I get the Toyo's on, I'm going to take it to the dealer for the alignment TSB (it also pulls to the right) and see if that doesn't fix the wear.

The nice thing, is that my wife thought she was doing me a favor and had my tires rotated. I'm running 255's in the front and the 245's are in the rear. I'm not even going to ask what the shop that did they job was thinking (or was not thinking!)

I appreciate the kind words diesel powered. I got an alignment done at a private shop after new tires, if you have to spring for it out of your own pocket, I'd ditch the dealer and go to the best place you know of. A road-force balance and alignment at the best shop in Cincy made my car feel much better than new. It tracks so straight and smooth now.

Hey Diesel - are you in the Denver area? I just moved here from SoCal and am sliding around like a puck on all this snow! Have you bought tires to replace the F1s in the winter? I'm tired of driving my wife's AWD station wagon every time the temp drops below freezing! To make matters worse, she made me sell my Denali because it was "impractical" to have so many cars...

Also, any good dealer recommendations for the Denver area?

I think you and I are just about the only SRT8 owners out here!

Thanks in advance for the help.

SSBMG, yes I am here in Denver (South Aurora) and I understand your frustration with the car in the snow. I am perfectly comfortable saying I have never driven a car that handles worse than these do in the white stuff.

Until it melts, I have an Explorer that I use to get around town. The only positive about it, is after 4-6 days of not driving the car, I'm like a kid on Christmas jumping back in and driving around!

I don't have any dealer recommendations at this time, as I only have used one for Maintanence (Lithia Chrysler for the 1-2 shift TSB). I'm working with the body shop behind there though for my new grill and facia. Grill for looks, facia from bottoming out the front of my car, and cracking it!

Welcome to Denver!

Thanks for the feedback.

I think I'll hit up one of the 5 star dealers up here on the north end (I live in the Highlands/Downtown area) for the alignment TSB in a month when I take it in for service. I may even have them do the damn ashtray TSB since mine is very finicky. I'll let you know how they do.

As far as tires are concerned, everyone here swears by the Toyo Proxes 4s so I'll give them a shot. I've pretty much accepted the fact that the 300 is going to have to get traded in for the GC SRT8 in a year or so anyways.

The other night on I-25 I got "chased" by a gang of Jettas and Audis. It makes me laugh when I pull away from these cars and let off at 90-100 mph and when they catch up and pass me by ~5 seconds later they feel as if they've won the race.
