You really only need the stock pads if you are going to be tracking your car, since they really are racing pads. In that case, just swaps the stock pads back in for the track run, then put the Centric's back on at the end of the day. It takes less than 5 minutes to swap them out at each wheel. That way you'll save your rotors and not have to be wiping down the dust after just a few miles of driving.
I agree with you on this Dave, because in reality how many of us actually using our cars specifically for the track all the time? All that dust, scoring and squeal when in fact the OEM pads are not true track pads doesn't seem worth it to me.

According to DaveZ, Jurids are the OEM pad, so for those who really want them, yes it's a great find from the ridiculous price the dealer wants!!!

I found this post from DaveZ with his impression of the OEM pads - New Brake Pads voiding warranty????? and it's not favourable for those seeking TRUE track performance.

The one thing I would hate to compromise is the performance of the brake-lock differential, in addition to the fact that I drive through cold and wet conditions frequently - and that's where people complain about a big difference in how the pads from Dave Z perform. I'm at am impass, probably time to get new sets of both pads and get good at swapping them back and forth in my garage.

At the same time, I can hardly believe my eyes. Rambit, you have something on your car that is not how the SRT engineers designed it? Am I reading that correctly? Knock me over with a feather

Why yes I do!!! I still have the OEM's tucked safely away for historical purposes though. I'm also thinking about going with the slotted rotors, but at this rate it'll be years before I'll need to...haha.

Hey, I think Dave has some information on other true performance pads, but I can't think of the name of them off hand. If I recall correctly they are anything but rotor friendly though.

I still think if this thread were in brake discussion DaveZ would give an honest assessment of what pads would work best for what you're looking for them to do. The biggest problem in the past is the shape of the front pads. The rears were never a problem because the shape has been used in other applications for a long time. Maybe by now other companies are making them.

I know this is a bit off topic but the changing of the cabin filter is extremely simple.
Lift the hood, look just under the window bottom on the passenger side. There are 2 tabs, push down and lift out, open the flap and take the old one out and replace with new one. Reassemble.
Saves some bucks, instead of giving them to the dealer and by the way if you have had your filter in for a while, after you take it out, tap it on something light colored and see how well the filter does work!

Slotted. They keep cleaning off the pads and help prevent pad material transfer to the rotor.

Drilled rotors give you less breaking area and are prone to developing hairline cracks.

I'm in the market for pads and found the Centric Posi Quiets for 82.95+shipping for both front and rear pads.

300 300C SRT-8 F&R Posi Quiet Semi Metallic Brake Pads

They are not a supporting vendor, but just wanted to pass this information along.
