My car just hit 18,000 miles...and I have the brake noise..... now if I get these brake pads for front and left...... do my rotors need to replaced..or can I keep the orginals and just cut them if need be ? I work at an Acura dealership...and I called the chrysler dealership to see how much...they said $1400 for pads and to replace all rotors.....seems kinda high. I want to save money..but also...do it the right way......

You might as well upgrade to the OEM slotted rotors. Moparsupercenter has them for a nice price.

I could be wrong, but think its for the pair. I will have to put in a call to them. I have not researched OEM pads, but did post a link earlier in the thread to the Centric pads which many members like for 82.95+shipping for all four wheels.

OEM pads can only be bought at the dealership. They are around $500 for a front and rear set. Oh yeah, I was quoted that price by moparsupercenter, regular dealerships it's even more.

It might be worth a shot to take your car to a Dealer and see if they will replace the rotors/pads for free. There are two TSB's for both rotors and pads for our cars.

Unfortunately, the price of the rotors and brakes will only be covered through the TSB if the car has been in service for under 12 months or 12k miles.

Or if you reported brake problems to the any chrysler service department and have it documented before 12 months or 12k miles.
