TSB for brakes

I've seen and read the TSB issued Aug 2,2006 for installing the slotted beak rotors. I just bought a 2006 300C SRT and noticed that the breaks squeal at low speeds under light breaking. I have a little under 14k on the car. Will taking the car to the dealer and presenting them with the TSB fix this problem or is there something else I need to look at?
Sorry if that has been discussed before but I'm just trying to get up to speed.

i dont have an srt, but i think the squealing comes from the brake pads, not the rotors. To stop the squealing you need to get different pads that aren't mopar. However, you will probably loose some braking power.

Ahem

excuse me, but as an SRT owner who's "been there", here's how it works.

Sorry, but the brakes are only warranted to 12k. Unless you got connections you're in trouble with the mileage.

Your brakes only squeal because you are not using them! Try two hard stops from 100 MPH and they will be quiet for a week or two. Bed them properly and they are the best you ever had.

Seconded about the mileage. You may be able to get them done at 14K but it's gonna be a crap shoot.

Thanks guys for the help. I found the link on bedding in the breaks and I'll go and try that and see if that fixes things. I'm leaning towards buying a set of posi quites anyways but until then hopefully this will fix the squeal.

Tried bedding the breaks today and still get the squeal. I did 8 near stops from 60 mph and then drove it for about 8 miles, slowing down to make a turn around without ever coming to a compete stop. When I got back into town I'd get the squeal going about 40-50 and applying very light break.

I went and pulled the wheel off and looked at the pads and rotor. I got plenty of pad, rotors are good, and there is a light dusting on the rotor.

Do I need to do this again or at higher speeds? Right now I can't hear it if I have the radio on but but want to get it taken care of. I have a feeling if I take it to the dealer they'd tell me its normal.

Bed them again. If you do it correct, you shouldn't really have any stopping power left by the 6th time. You really have to lay hard on the brakes and then floor it to 60, then do it over and over again. If you are doing it correctly, you will probably feel a little bit nauseous after completing the sequence. A proper bedding should really get rid of the squealing.
