Do My Rotors Need to be Replaced?

The service manual says:
Rotor Thickness
F: 1.256-1.264 in.
R: 1.098-1.106 in.
Minimum Rotor Thickness
F: 1.181 in.
R: 1.024 in.

And mine are currently at:
F: 1.255 in.
R: 1.098 in.

According to those numbers it seems my rotors do not need to be replaced. BTW, I'm at 40k miles. Most posts I've seen about rotors mention replacing them well before 40k and usually before 20k. I always down-shift when slowing down so that might explain the longevity. This will be my first time replacing the pads as well since the TSB at 5746 miles. My rotors were replaced via TSB at 14,820 miles. Thanks for any assistance.

If your brakes operate smoothly with the old pads (no pulsating pedal), I would just change the pads. No need to replace the rotors.

Just had front rotors turned and new ceramic pads on my '06. According to the brake folks, the rears should be fine for a long time. I hope the new fronts last more than the 28K the first ones did.

No need to replace them, you just can't machine them down for a like new surface anymore. New ones are really cheap anyway, around 80 bucks for real factory Mopar slotteds.

Over 24K on mine and no sign of wear, I run stock pads only.
