Springs Not Coilovers?

I see that most people out there are running the KW V2 coilovers on their SRT8. They seem to be the best choice, but they are very pricey. I was wondering if anyone is running just springs that they would reccomend, or any horror stories and ones they would not reccomend. I looked into a few companies and HR and TEIN are two companies that offer springs for the SRT8. I am looking for a mild drop that has a good ride that closes the finder gap on 265/35/22. Any pics, stories, or opinions would be greatly appricated.
Thanks

No experience with the springs, but I believe Eibach makes springs as well.

Apparently the SRT-8's come with self leveling shocks and putting lowered springs on it would only trigger to the car to raise the height thus defeating the lowered spring. From what I know a full coilover kit is what is needed to do it correctly.

Are all 4 shocks self leveling or just the back? Is it an option just to buy 2 new rear shocks and the lowering springs. I think this would still be a lot cheaper than the KW's.
Thanks

That's a good question...I am actually surprised that you have not gotten more responses. My suggestion would be to call a vendor that is a sponsor here and has experience with our cars and ask them. Let me know what you find out. Good luck.

I called Eibach and they told me the regular 300c springs would work but it would not really lower the back much at all, but the front would be lower. So back to what I was saying in the earlier post, I think our cars may only have the load leveling shocks in the rear. Also on the front of SRT8's there are bilstein shocks and in the back they are a different brand. So again that points to maybe only the rear shocks are load leveling. If thats the case maybe bilstein makes a rear shock for our cars. Lets keep the responses flowing so maybe we can get to the bottom of this.
Thanks

As far as I know the SRT doesn't have self leveling springs. I've had both Eibach springs and now the KW V2's there is no comparison between the two. IMO the Eibach's are junk.

I am running a 45mm drop King Spring on my SRT8 and I have the self leveling shocks also still installed. No issues what so ever, and was the first thing I did when I purchased my car - 12,000+kms now and only had 1 alignment - when installed. Cost me $300 installed. I would assume the springs on their own would be around $200 (AUSTRALIAN). A lot of the 300's that are lowered are running these springs and have heard nothing bad about them (Kings are huge here in Australia).
