Need brake pads and rotors

Quoted $ 717 from dealer for rear pads and rear rotors with labor and tax, which seems kind of high for just rears does anyone know of any better pricing or different options (parts).

Thanks

contact dave zeckhausen at zeckhausen racing. i'm pretty sure you can get better parts, pay the dealer for labor, and still be ahead.

two slotted rotors, rear : $316
rear centric posi-quiet pads: $79
shipping: ?
labor: ?

Stock rotors are around $100 and pads are less than that. No way it takes a tech more than an hour to change them. Adds up to $400 or less in my book. Even if they charged you for 2 hours they are still way high

I agree with stealthsrt8, go get some pads and rotors from DaveZ. Most of us here are using them. As for labour, forgetaboutit and do it yourself - How-To: Installing low-dust brake pads on an SRT8.

Can't remember who it was, but someone here had their 15 year old daughter do them. That's how easy it is.

You'll notice your rear brakes will wear out sooner than the fronts. That's a first for me. That's due to the brake lock differential and ESP applying the brakes. I turn mine off as much as possible as a routine in the city.
