275/40/20 Toyo Proxes - spacer?

I see several members are running 273/40/20 tires on all four corners and would like to do the same om my SRT8. Some posts talk about running a 3mm spacer on the front for clearance. Is a spacer required on the SRT8 or just the non-brembo brake 300 models? Thanks.

EDIT: I should mention that I want to run these on original factory 20 inch SRT rims.

I have only seen it used on 300C's running SRT8 OEM wheels. The Factory Reproductions SRT8 wheels do not require the spacer. It all depends on the offset of the wheels you are using.

Im curious about this myself. Ive never heard of needing a spacer but i should ask now before i get myself into trouble.

I have an 06 300C SRT8 with Toyo 255/45's all around. I want to change to Toyo 275/40's myself on my stock SRT wheels. Will i need the spacer and if so, where can i find it and how much?

Will it make the front wheels stick out farther than the rear?

Not trying to jack the thread. Im hoping this will help tx_bandit as well...

not

no spacer is needed for my car. I ran 275/40/20 for 3 days to test tire sizes and never had any contact of any kind.

Many members here run them on all 4 corners with stock SRT8 rims. But on an SRT8 they fit just fine.

Have never heard of a Spacer required for stock SRT rims.

I Have run 275/40/20 on stock SRT8 Rims for over 2 years now and havent had a problem.

They don't rub, they fit well and they fill out the guard for that tougher 'fatter' look.

Also i found the tyres last a litle longer as they can be fully rotated.

People who are putting stock SRT wheels on a 5.7 "C" need the spacers.
