2006 SRT8 Brakes and Rotors

Traded in my 2005 300C with 70K on it for a 2006 SRT8 with 16K on it two months ago. Was cleaning off the brake dust (for like the third time) last week end and noticed grooving in right front rotor. Others had maybe a little not bad at all but right front was noticeable. Car also squeals a little at light braking. So I read the old brake pad TSB here and spend 45 minutes reading the slotted rotor TSB / grooved rotor old thread (like 18 pages). This dealer has been awesome on this car (replaced radio, fixed sun roof, fixed leak, fixed / replaced rear window defroster - all at no cost under just the 3 month 3000 mile used car warranty). Do not have the guts to bring in 3 year old brake / rotor TSBs on a 3 year old car with now 18.5K on it. Hey when I bought it my buddy who owns a repair shop gave it the once over and said all was fine - including brakes and rotors. Brakes work great. Wondering what my rotor, brake dust, brake squealing options are? This car squeals less than my 300C did. Are rotors and brakes expensive for this? Suppose I just do nothing - car seems fine?

first...

have you bedded the brakes?

This is essential but only after you verify there is plenty of pad left. The rears wear first, so pull a couple of wheels and let us know.

Here's the link:

Instructions for bedding in your brakes

Note that even if you do need parts, the pads are available through Bendix at less than 100 bucks delivered to you. Rotors are less than 80 bucks for factory slotted Mopars. Absolutely the EASIEST brake job in my stable!

unlikely

if your over 12 months/12000 miles you are out of the brake warranty.

You'll need one hell of a dealer to help you there.

Thank god the parts are really cheap and the job is the easiest one I know of!

yep I'm past that. I'll probably just pick up mopar slotted rotors, now to decide what brakes to go with, don't want to lose any braking power. Been here reading about brake pads.
