Exclamation Toyo Proxes 4 snow and overall wear

Hello guys,

It is time to get new paws for my car. I am looking at Toyo Proxes 4 235/55 r18. Everything I have read and talking with a couple of folks here in Portland, OR they do great in dry, wet and snow.

So my question to you all is do you find them doing good in rain and snow. The reason for the size is I can get a chain set for it. Sad to say here in Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR I am not going to lose 18 days of work do to that damn snow. Last year I was killed with my wider BFG's. I love them but just does not work well in snow at all. About how many miles should I get out of them? Again I have read they hold up for a good long time. Most of the driving is highway but around town I am hitting turns hard and I do get my share of speeding around town.

Thank you all for the help.
Fritz

They get by in snow if you behave yourself. The rears will go no more than about 35k miles...mine are shot...I think that's twice as long as the OE all seasons went, though, and they've been far grippier to boot! My fronts are probably good for another 25k...I may put them in the back and drop down to 255 in the front next spring, but it's blizzaks next month for me, so I'm going to limp the thin rubber on the rears another 1000 miles.
