SRT8 - Biggest Tyre Size

Hey guys,, I have 245/45's on the front and 275/40's on the rear on the standard 20 inch SRT8 rims,, I want to go to the biggest possible tyre combo that the rims will take and also DO NOT want any rubbing!!! Car is also at the standard height,, I wont be changing that,,

done

The 275/40/20 is the largest recommended size. Works front or rear. May lose some steering feel with the larger tire.

We have members running 315's on the rear. But most tire places don't recommend that on a nine inch rim.

Don't forget to mention Steve, that anything larger than 275 on the rear stock 9" (on all 4 corner) wide wheels start to "bend" the sides of the tire up, thus giving you in the end the equivalent to a 275ish wide anyways.

You could purchase 300c SRT8 replica 10 spoke wheels, that won't have the SRT branding on the spokes, with wider sizes. You could get any width and diameter you want. So if you wanted to keep the same stock look and style, but put some 315 size meat on the rear, you could do so. There are vendors on here that you can see who offer that. I think one is named Factory Reproductions or something.

Actually, it was in appreciation of your YouTube post. At 57, I don't really care a whole lot about my "post count". I read here much more than I post, except where I can contribute. On this, I had forgotten the answer.

I learned that from you... Daaaad

And just for clarification.. by "bend"; I mean roll the corners up so your contact patch is a lot smaller, than the series of tire you purchased

Plus, that size of tire is $$$$$$ anyways, so why pay the extra money for "275's" when you can purchase real 275's for a lot cheaper.

anyways, I think I've gotten my point across; I hope
