Tires for Butler - taking recommendations

Hey all,
yes, it is that time AGAIN!!!
Hey at least I made it a year this time around. Not really driving as "aggressive" as I used too. The honeymoon has worn off, that and having this car for over 4 years now.
So back to tires.
Toyo Proxes 4's, Hankook's Ventus or Vredenstein Sessanta's???
I'm thinking of going from the 255/45/20 setup to 275/40/20 this go around...
What is the current cost of each right now for someone in S. Calif.?
How does Tire Rack or Discount come in as far as price on these?
Other recommendations welcome - ALWAYS!!!
Thanks guys,
Chris

the toyo proxes 4's seem to be the favorite around here. The yokohama parada is nice tire to if your not to hard on your car. Both can be staggerd with 275/40/20 on the back and 245/45/20 on the front. I know you didnt say anything about staggering but just throwing it out there for you. If you search through the forums there are lots of reviews for the tires incase you didnt already.

Hey Chris! What's up buddy?

I've heard good things about the Toyo Proxes 4 as well...

...and that's all I gotta say about that.

Hey!

Hey there old timer! Hope all is well.

Another Toyo vote here. DanRealtor will agree, they are super sticky in any weather. Cheap and wear well, too.

Personally, no tire that is not unidirectional will go on my car. That eliminates a "stain". A vred-stain, that is.

And be careful with the huge footprint up front. I test drove that config on my car for a week and could feel a huge diff in directional control with a 245 on the front.

I recommend staggered!

how's it goin' brother!

I like the proxes4 for a lot of reasons... looks good, has great traction, only a little more noise on coarse roads but quiet on smooth ones. And a LOT cheaper. check out tires-easy.com the 255/45/20 are 167.70 and the 275/40/20 are 172.80. Interestingly enough, a 285/30/22 is a cheap 111.00, and why I have been buying them from here.

tHankook are about 142.50 for the 255/45, but I don't like the look of them as much as the proxes.

Otherwise, a pirelli pzero would be ok. I think the vredesteins are too trendy for me, but there are good reviews out there.

Gee, someone with such an extensive history of SRT8 ownership should know the answer to this question.

hmmmm
let's see...
I am never on any boards anymore...
it's been over a year since MY Vixen has received a "set of shoes" on her...
so any person with this much experience would go to the best source of information on 300c's - specifically SRT8's.
So I came here to see if there was anything new and great out there and if anyone was selling tires for a buck.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THERE!!!
now go back to your VETTE forums beatcha!!!
