Angry Rotor Wear

I have just under 3000 miles on my 06 CSRT8 and the rotors are showing really bad grooves, but just on the drivers side. Passenger side is starting to show, but the drivers side is just plain stupid. i'll be at my dealer service center first thing Monday morning to try to handle this, but i'm wondering just how many of you have been to dealer service to report this problem. I'm kind of expecting to get the run-around about this since I bought my car out of state, but it would be helpful info to know how many owners have been i n for this problem before I go. The brake-bedding helped for awhile but now it's starting to just get crazy. I"M NOT VERY HAPPY AT ALL!!!!!!Thanks!!

You shouldn't have a problem with the dealer because you bought it out of state. They will be happy to see you because thats one more way the dealer makes money. The dealer gets reimbursted from Chrysler. Still waiting for transport on my car, so I can't tell your anything more about the brakes. Any transport companies going thru Wichita, Ks? Its been sitting in the lot for 2 weeks. I didn't realize that KS was out of the way. Cecil..........

The only reason I mention the out-of-state issue is both dealers close to me have not sold an 8 yet and one was the same dealer that tried to put 5w-30 oil in what they THOUGHT was a 5.7(YIKES). The Five star dealer that has sold two 8's that i know of---for $10,000 over each----just really dosen't deserve my business. Even though they might be the only dealership qualified to work on my car--since they have actually seen an 8 on their lot----I just can't give them my business.

I had wear grooves on my rotors right out of the gate didnt recognize it till I got the vehicle home 300c Nov 04. Had no problems getting the dealer to request new rotors and check pads. No real explanation...but no problems since.

Mine are dusting badly, like everyone mentions, and I am watching the rotors for telltale signs. We have almost 1000 miles on it, but 700 of them are highway delivery miles(little to no brake use). So far, they seem okay, but I would love to find another pad manufacturer to drop this dust down. I have never owned a vehicle where I had to wash the wheels twice as often(if not more) than the car.....Of course, the wheels are easier to wash(we have the Magnum SRT-8) than most, so it is a minor annoyance at this time.

Stoptech has finished the package they were making for our car. 6 Piston setup with larger rotors. I can't wait to see how this works out. I'd like to upgrade

Actually, I think it is a 370 (give or take a fraction) CI engine since it is not a true 6.1L size...it is 6059 cc's.

As with most manufacturers, they simply round up to the next .1 liter.
