A ? on suspension and lowering/raising.

Well i was at my local target and I found a spot right next to a 300C AWD.
I have a 300C and after I got out I noticed that his car was about 2 inches or so higher than mine.
My car is stock, and his car also looked stock.
Now i was talking with a friend of mine and he has a LS430 and he said his friend raised his car about an inch or so by raising the car and then placing clips or something somewhere in the wheel well or the suspension.
Did anyone here about this.
I would lower my car, but my neighborhoods streets are a little rough.
Plus, i actually liked how it was a little higher.
Anyone hear of something to just clip in?

Yeh, but honestly, I liked how it looked.
Does anyone know what i was talking about with the clip in the suspension when the car is on a lift?

never heard of that. I have heard of people putting spacers in the spring though, but in my opinoin your not gonna lift this car at all and still have it ride like you want it to

well when you put the spacer in its like hard rubber, so basically you lost the compression that coil of the spring would have in absorbing the ride. Plus there is no telling if anyone actually produces one of these to fit for sure, so it will probably end up being a custom, one off design

i have no idea if this is anywhere close to accurate...but if they're anything like a truck's suspension, he could've tweaked the torsion bars (if they have them) and given a bit of a lift...or put in a generic body lift of some kind...like rednecks do on trucks...but thats a crappy ride...not to mention really unsafe...

If you go with an airbag suspension that might get you over the rough roads then you can drop it back down and have a decent ride.

I have an AWD and I think the gap sucks. I wish I could give you the gap and slam mine.

The AWD model has different springs, lower control arms and bigger brakes than the RWD 300C.
