It's a nifty little device with module and wires and a hidden under-dash switch panel containing two switches, ozark300.

One allows you, the driver, to manually turn on the radiator fan to keep your coolant temps at thermostat temp rather than 220 degrees or higher when in heavy traffic or parked.

The second, when used in conjuction with the ESP button on your dash, allows you to totally disable all power inhibitors such as ESP and traction control, and crisps up your tranny shifts.

Even I didn't frequent the track it would be an essential mod for me.

You'll find it here: http://www.gsmotorsports.com/Merchan...ode=HMIENGELEC

Here's the blurb I just copied from the GSM Web page:

This is a very specific mod and only affects the intended items with a calculated result.

Benefits

* No Torque management (exact shifts no lag or delay)
* No Traction control (100% freedom to Fry the tires or uninterrupted acceleration)
* Low temp fan control for a much cooler running temp yielding much better overall performance

Race ESP Mod:

Completely deletes Traction control (esp.) and Torque management on shifts points. No more pauses between shifts and no traction hold back from the ECU at the flip of a switch.

This Mod will not turn off or affect the ABS system

Fan Control:

This mod Brings the fans on early keeping max temps on the motor down 10% or on the 195 degree thermostat at cruising speed( no codes) and is very effective in city driving or at the drag strip.

The kit is a pre made kit that you can install in your driveway in about 1/2 an hour and will result in you having the options mentioned on the fly via 2 small switches in a discrete location with in reach with no holes having to be drilled.

The owner, Scott Quarenta, is a very pleasant, helpful guy, so email or call him if you have any questions.

Is there a better performance value anywhere than the mightly SRT8s? No way, IMO.

SRT8s are freaking awesome cars and are a steal at MSRP.

Here's the kicker: Would I have found it necessary to perform every mod to my SRT8 that I have my C? You bet. They still have the engine & tranny lag, which annoy me to no end, and the Hotchkis / KW combo is a better suspension. So I'd have spent precisely the same on mods had I been driving an SRT8.
Well put Meister...
that I can "live" with...
not having another 7-8 mph in second gear really sucked to be honest with you...
I really hated to upshift into 3rd and not have the rpm's and torque avaiable at a higher level...
it made a difference didn't it Meister???
and it was more than once that it happened to us...
I pretty much found out what this car can and cannot do...
and let's just say ESP "off" is not recommended with trees lining either side of the road...
and I am going to head out with BBSSRT8 and see what the ol'
Hotchkis/KW thing does improvement wise to the SRT8 when he gets back next week...
your wingman always,

your wingman always,
Right on.

The good news is that the chip tuners (first one imminent for the 5.7L, mid-summer for the 6.1L) will give us that extra 7-8 mph in second gear needed to smooth out the process of hammering the twisties simply by allowing us to raise our rev limit and shift points appropriately. That will indeed be most sweet.

The only place I've seen us differ here, wingman, is on the topic of ESP. I much prefer to have ESP totally disabled, via GSM mod & ESP button if so equipped, or via fuse 17 (inferior option compared to the GSM mod - but better than running with ESP still alive) whenever I'm flogging it hard. I hate the ESP second-guessing me, and vice versa. It's the old "too many indians..." goat rope all over again.

My car is now totally predictable through the tightest curves with the ESP system totally disabled. Not so with the computer trying to control my car.

oh well...
Chris,
We'll have to see about you driving my car.

If you are talking about a store in San Diego for the KWs, I looked into getting them at group5motorsport.com before I got them from Hennesseys at a better price with no sales tax.

Minor battle damage only, Mav - and well worth it.

Los Tres Amigos were back at warp speed in no time.

Hi DUBSTER. The short answer is yes.

Post #1 lists the subject vehicle as an '05 300C. If your ride is other than a C there is a kit for you as well - similar, different part number.

Suggest you edit your profile info to include the model of your car. It will prevent a lot of wasted time and double responses.

Retail is in the high 17s. Group Buy pricing is less, but cannot be stated openly.

Extremely well worth it.
