This bushing is relatively soft, and is desgined to gide the bumps big time. There is a very large amount of movement it will do. Notice all the voids in it, which is designed for major movement. The issue with this bush has to do when everyone upgrades srpings and shocks, this bushing now really gest stressed. Also keep in mind this is the same bush for a SRT8 and a 6 cyl engry level 6 cylinder. We have seen them tear and create significant knocking noises.

Pedders has made a replacememnt bushing for them and it works great. However, we have found there are multiple suppliers of the lower control arm, and the specs for the opening to the control arm vary. So we have had to redesign the bushing for the larger hole, and we have successfuly test fitted them Now just waiting the from to show up from down under.

this is a perfect bushing that adds to the non compliance potentials of the 42 bushings that we replace in the LX.

I got my KW v2s installed a while back. I am noticing a slight "clunk clunk" noise whenever I go over very rough road in the back suspension.

Is this normal? Anyone else having this issue?

Anyone recommend a good shop to take my SRT8 to check it out?

Your KW shock bushings could be bad. Your shocks could be sliding off the bushings and hitting the frame.

Take your wheel off to see if the shock is sliding off the bushing. If it is, KW will send you replacement bushings. Take pictures and send them to Tom Edge at KW for proof.

Here are pics. The first pic is someone else's bad KW bushings posted on the lxforums. The second pic is my bushings, which are OK and not clunking.

Do you know why there is so much oil or grease in picture of the failed bush and the good bush appears to be bone dry?

The failed bush is someones car on the lxforums. I don't know, or remember, why there is lubricant on the bushing.

My 300C 2006 AWD had started clunking (more like sharp clicking sounds) on the right front, right rear passenger sides as welll as the others to a minimal extent. I took the car down to the Goodyear tyre guys who installed my tires, had them take off the right rear tire and checked the bushing, nuts and other details of the KW and found nothng at all amiss with it. I can't for the life of me me figure out what is causing these sounds other than premature wear of the OEM bushings that are claimed to be fixed by the Pedders kit. I am at my wits end since the (ordinary) dealership will only shrug their shoulders and say that I have "non-oem" parts on my car and hence can't be bothered to fix the problem.. ugh! One thng I noticed was that my tyres were at 37 psi and it was reduced down to 35psi and the sounds seem to have diminished.. Any "car guys" type guys here advice me on what I should do next?

So I can understand, you have KWs on all 4 corners, and have clunking type noises on the right front and rear? Can you be more specific? Can you get the noise turning left and right? Does it only happen with turning? Has anyone done a complete inspection of the chasis? Can you feel it in the steering wheel? What was your tire wear

Hi Mike, the noises are especially obvious during turns. No one has done a complete inspection of the chasis. Cannot feel it in the steering and tire wear seems fine according to the Goodyear dealer.
